Editorial Policy
How All Horror Movies approaches horror journalism, reviews, features, movie information, sourcing and corrections.
1. About All Horror Movies
All Horror Movies is an independent horror entertainment publication operated by Frame Tech UK Ltd.
We publish horror movie news, reviews, retrospectives, features, franchise coverage, movie information and interactive discovery tools.
Our aim is simple: build a useful, entertaining and continually growing resource for people who love horror movies.
2. Our Editorial Principles
We aim for our editorial content to be accurate, useful, original and clearly presented.
Our core principles are:
- accuracy is more important than being first;
- fact and opinion should be distinguishable;
- sources should be represented fairly;
- significant errors should be corrected;
- reviews should reflect genuine editorial assessment;
- commercial relationships should not secretly determine editorial conclusions; and
- readers should be able to understand what kind of content they are reading.
3. News Reporting
Horror news can develop quickly. We aim to distinguish confirmed information from reports, rumours and speculation.
Where appropriate, news stories may draw upon information from studios, distributors, filmmakers, representatives, official announcements, interviews, public statements, established publications and other relevant primary or secondary sources.
If information has not been independently confirmed, we aim to describe it in a way that reflects that uncertainty rather than presenting speculation as established fact.
4. Sources
We aim to use reliable sources appropriate to the information being reported.
Wherever practical, we prefer original or primary sources for factual claims, particularly official announcements, filmmakers, studios, distributors, public records and direct materials.
Secondary reporting may also be used where it provides relevant original reporting, interviews, context or confirmation.
We do not knowingly present another publication's original reporting as our own.
5. Press Releases and PR Material
All Horror Movies accepts press releases, trailers, posters, production information, screening invitations, interview opportunities and other editorial material from filmmakers, studios, distributors and publicists.
Receiving material does not guarantee publication or positive coverage.
Information supplied through press materials may be edited, contextualised, independently checked or combined with additional reporting before publication.
Editorial enquiries can be sent to editor@allhorrormovies.com.
6. Reviews
Reviews represent editorial opinion rather than objective fact.
Our reviews consider the movie on its own terms, including areas such as storytelling, performances, direction, atmosphere, scares, effects, originality and its place within horror where relevant.
A review is not changed simply because a filmmaker, studio, distributor or other interested party disagrees with its conclusion.
7. Review Copies and Screenings
Access to advance screenings, review copies, screeners or other promotional material does not guarantee a positive review.
Where access has been provided for editorial purposes, our assessment remains independent.
We will respect legitimate embargoes and reasonable conditions attached to advance editorial access where they have been agreed.
8. Features and Retrospectives
Features, retrospectives and analysis may combine factual information with editorial interpretation and opinion.
Where an article contains interpretation or opinion, it should not be understood as claiming that a subjective assessment is an objectively provable fact.
9. Movie Information
All Horror Movies maintains a growing database of horror movies, franchises, characters and related information.
Movie information may include release dates, runtime, certification, cast, crew, production information, genres, subgenres and other factual data.
Film information can differ between territories, releases and sources. We aim to use reliable information and correct material inaccuracies when identified.
10. Corrections
If we discover that an article contains a material factual error, we aim to correct it as soon as reasonably practical.
Minor spelling, formatting, grammar or clarity edits may be made without a correction notice.
Where a correction materially changes the meaning of a published story, additional clarification may be added where appropriate.
To report a possible factual error, email editor@allhorrormovies.com with the article URL and details of the information you believe should be reviewed.
11. Updating Articles
Published articles may be updated when additional confirmed information becomes available.
This is particularly relevant to developing news, casting announcements, release dates and productions that are still in development.
Older evergreen content may also be updated to improve accuracy, context or usefulness.
12. Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are made by All Horror Movies.
Advertisers, affiliate partners, merchandise providers, studios, filmmakers and PR representatives do not receive the right to dictate our editorial conclusions merely because a commercial or professional relationship exists.
Where content is paid for or sponsored, it should be identified appropriately rather than presented as independent editorial coverage.
13. Affiliate Relationships
All Horror Movies may introduce affiliate links or other commercial partnerships.
Where affiliate relationships are used, they should not determine the editorial opinion expressed about a movie, product or service.
Appropriate disclosure will be provided where required.
14. Artificial Intelligence and Editorial Tools
All Horror Movies may use software and artificial intelligence tools as part of research, organisation, drafting, data processing or editorial workflows.
The use of a tool does not remove our responsibility for the material we publish.
Content intended for publication should be reviewed for relevance, accuracy and suitability as part of the editorial process.
15. Images, Posters and Promotional Material
All Horror Movies may use official posters, stills, trailers, press images and other material when reporting on or discussing films and entertainment.
Third-party copyrights and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Promotional material supplied for editorial use may be credited where appropriate or where requested as part of the supplied press information.
16. Independent and Micro-Budget Horror
We welcome submissions from independent filmmakers as well as established studios and distributors.
The size of a production or marketing budget does not determine whether a story is worthy of editorial consideration.
However, submission does not guarantee coverage, review or publication.
