Since I didn't get the chance to see Session 9 in theaters I had to wait for the DVD release. Well, it was worth the wait for the movie, now how did they do with the DVD? Well, there is a really good picture quality, except at the very beginning of the film there is a little bit of grain in the dark scenes. But overall the picture quality is really good. The surround sound on this DVD is also very good. There are some deleted scenes, but I really didn't find them of much interest. There is also an alternate ending, though I didn't like it very much. I like the way the film ended in the movie. The featurette, The Haunted Palace, is quite an interesting look behind the scenes, as well as the Story to Screen, which is another feature that brings you behind the scenes. There is also a director's commentary, and I must say, watching the film with the director's commentary on after viewing it once before is a really good idea.
