Peter Parker is a young teenager who works for the school paper.  While his class is on a field trip looking at spiders Peter gets bitten by a new breed of spider.  Soon Peter is has these new powers where he can climb up walls, shoot web out of his wrists, and leap far distances.  Now with his new powers he decides to help people who are being attacked by criminals.  Though Peter's time saving the innocent easily is cut short when another super human has shown up on the streets of New York.  This new super human is being called the Green Goblin and he wants Spiderman to join his side in evil, but when Spiderman won't join him, he decides to be Spiderman's enemy and now it's up to Spiderman to save New York and stop the Green Goblin. We are introduced to Mary Jane Watson right at the beginning of the movie.  We hear Peter Parker's voice over as he tells us how much he'd love to be the guy sitting next to MJ, or even the guy sitting in front of her.  Soon we meet Peter, he is busy chasing after the bus since the bus left ...

A couple's boat gets wrecked and they are picked up by another boat.  Soon the people on the boat are conducting experiments with the guy they rescued.  Now as the wife finds out what they are doing to her husband she must try and save him before it's too late.  Meanwhile giant spiders everywhere. The movie opens with a rather nicely done opening with these people on a boat getting attacked and killed.  After that we meet our two stars.  They are on a boat and they find the other boat that was just attacked.  They look around on it and notice a storm coming.  Soon the storm gets to their boat and they wreck.  Later they are picked up by another boat and brought on board.  When they arrive on board the doctors on there fix up the husband.  They keep injecting him with this medicine, but it keeps making him sick.  They soon realize that her husband is part of an experiment with giant spiders.  Now it is up to the wife to save him when the giant spiders get loose. Mary loves horror films, only her parents don't allow her to watch them.  There is this new film that has entered theaters called "The Wisher" and it's smashing box office records.  The audience finds this film to be one of the scariest movies ever made.  Mary and her friends decide to go and see this movie for themselves and when Mary goes back home, she discovers that something evil has followed her home and every time she makes a wish, something horrible happens.  Has this demon from the film arrived in the real world stalking Mary, or is Mary just imagining everything? Mary is getting ready to celebrate her sixteenth birthday and as she cuts the cake, blood pours from the cake.  Her father then decides to eat some of it as Mary goes running out of the house.  Soon, Mary wakes up and realizes that it was just a dream.  Even though she's a "die-hard" horror fan, she gets scared very easily.  The next day at school, her and her friends decide to go see a new movie called The Wisher, which is getting rave reviews and destroying all other films at the box office.  She tells her parents that ...

Michele Soavi made his directorial debut with this film.  Stage Fright is about a group of people who are working on a play.  They are a group of no-name actors trying to make it big, and they see this play as their big break.  Soon, a killer breaks loose from an insane asylum and heads to the studio.   There he dresses up as the killer in the play, locks the doors with no key to be found, and he kills them one by one.  Now it's a battle for survival as the actors try to find the key to the doors and escape before this killer makes them meet their brutal death. I had heard so much about Michele Soavi, but I had never seen any of his films.  This was my first experience in his films and I was pleasently surprised.  Stage Fright starts off slowly with the actors trying to work in the play, but when a girl gets hurt, her and her friend go to the hospital and when they come back a killer has followed them.  The director of the play really wants to get this play going, and when a girl is brutally murdered outside, he ...

A remake of the classic 1980 Stanley Kubrick film that is supposed to be more like Stephen King's book.  The original runs around two and a half-hours, this one was a six-hour miniseries, though without the commercials, it would be more around four and a half-hours.  Now, more on a summary for this film.  A family: Jack, Wendy, and Danny all move up to the Over Look Hotel for the winter because Jack has got the job of being the winter caretaker.  Once they arrive strange things start to happen.   Danny has marks on his neck and Wendy is sure that Jack did it to him since he is a recovering alcoholic and often abusive.  Danny says that it was this woman that lives in room 217.  Jack goes up there to see, and does see a woman in there but he denies it.  Other strange things begin to happen up until the last hour and a half when Jack grabs a croquet mallet and goes on a rampage. This one is a lot different then the original Shining.  In the original we see Jack slipping into insanity, but in this one we hardly see that.  What we see is more ...

As the opposing forces separate into two camps--one led by teh saintly Mother Abigail and the other by demonic Randall Flagg--the noble elements try to shield themselves from their corrupt enemy, whose ruthless potency is increased by their domination of an exacavated nuclear warhead. Their extreme clash of wills makes it inevitable that these remnants of humanity will soon engage in a final confrontation. This is a great movie, from the book by Stephen King that everyone either loves or hates. I personally love this movie, not to mention the book. This movie is almost six and a half hours, and it never gets boring one minute of it. If you want to watch a movie about the ultimate battle between good and evil. Check this movie out, you won't be disappointed. Great movie, Stephen King's best. 10 out of 10 stars.

As snow steadily buries everything familiar, terror arrives in the form of an evil stranger.  As streets disappear and an eerie darkness envelops the town, a series of bizarre murders creates a nightmare of fear.  With no help coming from the outside world and no end to the storm in sight, the townspeople are forced to take drastic action before it's too late. This has become my second favorite Stephen King movie, first being the Stand. The character Andre Linoge is a perfect villian.  One of the most memorable lines in the film is "Give me what I want and I'll go away."  To find out what he wants is something that the Constable tries to the whole time, but once he does find out he is the only one who objects to it.  This is the ultimate story that shows you that some people woud give up a child to save themselves.  A wonderful movie and if you haven't seen it I suggest seeing it.  I give it 8 out of 10 stars.
