Memento is the tale of a man named Leonard Shelby.  Leonard is on a mission to find the guy who raped and murdered his wife.  Though as Leonard tries to track down the killer he has a problem in doing this.  He suffers from a rare form of memory loss, much like Amnesia, except he can't remember anything after the incident that killed his wife.  He will remember things for a few minutes, but after that everything just fades away.  He can't remember the people he has met before, nor the things he's done in the past after the incident.  He has found a way to remember things and the way he does this is by taking pictures and writing notes on the pictures, along with giving himself tattoos that help him remember what he's supposed to do.  As he goes through this memory loss he is still filled with vengeance and he can trust no one since he can't remember anyone he has met before, yet everyone seems to know him.
