Ginger Snaps is the story of two sisters who have an obsession with death.  They are much like make-up artists and use themselves to make pictures that look very real.  Ginger is sixteen years old and her younger sister Brigitte is fifteen.  They are two social outcasts.  When Trina plays a prank on Brigitte, Ginger and Brigitte decide to scare Trina by taking her dog and setting it up to where it looks like something killed it.  On their way they pass through a playground where they find the remains of another dog.  The two sisters decide to use it on Trina, when they discover that it was just killed.  Almost instantly Ginger is attacked by some other giant beast.  Brigitte runs after the beast as it drags Ginger into the woods.  Brigitte gets Ginger away from the beast.  Soon Ginger starts to go through some changes, at first they think she's just becoming a woman, but they soon realize that something is very wrong with Ginger.  Ginger now has a tail and is starting to grow hair all over her body.
