The battle between light and dark continues as we pick up where the original film left off. It has been a few months since Anton's son, Yegor, joined the side of dark. As Anton tries to reach out to his son, someone starts killing off others and framing the crimes on Anton. As the Day Watch pursues him, he searches for the Chalk of Fate, which has the ability to rewrite history.
One can tell early on that this film is completely different from the original film. The overall look of the film is different and the action is different. The special effects are better, the characters are developed more, the acting has improved, and the story is a bit more straight forward than the previous one was.
The thing I liked best about Day Watch is the character development. You are introduced to the characters in Night Watch, but you don't really get to know them until Day Watch.
