In the year 1766, the people of France are terrified as there is a beast that is killing the townspeople.  The king has hired two hunters to capture the beast.  He hires Gregoire de Fronsac and Mani.  Fronsac is a scientist and Mani is a Mohawk Indian.  The two set out to capture the beast for the king and as they do so they discover something that they may not have wanted to learn. The movie opens with a girl running for her life along the countryside.  As the girl makes her way to a cliff she can't go any further and the beast catches up with her.  Next we see two people running away from these people attacking this old man and his daughter.  As the two are being attacked Fronsac and Mani arrive.  Mani gets off of his horse and starts fighting the attackers.  He single-handedly throws each one of the attackers to the ground and the two victims run off.  Soon Fronsac and Mani are asked by the king to capture the beast that has been killing everyone.  When the king grows impatient his lieutenant takes over the hunt.  Soon his lieutenant returns with a fake beast and ...
