When two sisters, Su-mi and Su-yeon, return home from the hospital to their father and mean spirited stepmother, strange things start to happen inside their house.  At first, everything is normal, but when the night falls, the horror begins. A Tale of Two Sisters works on so many levels.  The characters are very compelling, the story is well written and it makes you think and keeps you guessing up until the credits roll.  Some reviews that I had read about this film claimed that it was more of a drama than a horror film, and although there is drama in this, the horror aspects are truly frightening.  The director really knows how to work the audience up and when the scares come, they are unforgettable and chilling. The cinematography in this film is absolutely amazing.  The mix of colors really adds to the viewing experience and never overpowers the film, it simply helps carry it along.  There is a solid mix of green, red, and blue throughout the film.  I especially loved how the camera goes handheld when we reach the climatic plot twist three fourths of the way through. Unable to overpower the Dream Master who vanquished him in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4, Freddy haunts the innocent dreams of her unborn child and preys upon her friends with sheer horror. At first, I didn't like this movie.  Once I bought the box set on DVD I found a new interest in this movie.  Freddy isn't funny like he is in other films, he's a little more like the Freddy in the first film.  The body count is low, and there is hardly any gore. But after a while, the movie grows on you.  I give it 4 out fo 10.

Freddy has returned after the three survivors from the last film.  He is brough back to life from flaming dog piss.  As he kills off the last of the Elm Street children, the one who can pull people into her dreams, she gives her power to Alice.  Now it is up to Alice to stop Freddy and save the souls of all the Elm Street children. This one is my favorite in the Nightmare on Elm Street series.  A lot of people didn't like this one, but I found it to be very entertaining.  The special effects were great, the acting wasn't bad.  And it just made me want to see what happened next.  6 out of 10.

Freddy has returned in part three of the Nightmare on Elm Street series.   This time he's after the last remaining Elm Street kids who are locked up in a mental hospital. This is one of the best sequels in this series.  It is good to see Nancy return.   This one has much more imporved special effects then the previous ones.  The characters are believable and it has a good plot.  Over all I give this one a 6 out of 10.

Freddy has returned in this sequel to A Nightmare on Elm Street, and this time he has possessed a boy who is living in Nancy's old house. I found this sequel to be entertaining, but it wasn't wonderful.  All this movie was, was a cheesy sequel, and nothing more.  I'd recommend watching the first one or the third one.  2 out of 10.
